sheepy2 The Great Migration

The Great Migration- Captain Harold Dwoarcyzk

Over the last several days I have witnessed first hand the seasonal changes of our fishery. First off we were able to fool several trout and reds over sandy shorelines that offered excellent wind-swept points. Surface bait activity was minimal but the cleaner water exposed silver flashes of mullet. Next, while running from one location to the next a couple sweet smelling slicks have also heightened my awareness to pay close attention to our historic spring locals. Lastly, some trout coming to hand while wading have already rolled out stomach contents of glass minnows. Not every customer is able to wade or drift with artificial lures so accommodating his or her needs is what we do. Captain Nathan and Captain TJ teamed up on a two-boat session with Jack H. and Bob guests to catch limits of reds to near limits. With recent ESE high winds, tides are high again. Water conditions are in good shape. All reds were landed over mud and grass. Captain Jason Wagenfehr drifted with David S. and daughter to locate several top water fish. According to David “The subsurface lure fooled reds, I got to get me some more of that stuff.”

The threat of rain showers, heavy fog and light winds made for an interesting and challenging morning, but once the sun peeked out and it warmed up, the fishing turned on.

Chris,

Which of your custom sauces do you all use for your redfish on the half
shell recipe? It is outstanding.
