You guys are correct, unfortunately its just a leg strap, sure wish it was a band though.
Motownfire, I went all stealth mode for this hunt. It's my buddies land so i was going as no trace as possible. The trees are really thick on one side of the tank so I found a spot with a lot of over head coverage in the shade and just stood right up next to the tree. I was a good 40 yards from my spread, they didn't seem to notice me at all, but that will probably change later in the year when they get a little more weary. Like I said earlier, when those groups came in they were committed the landing gear was down and they were dive bombin me. I really feel like when I hunt farm tanks like that they're a little more ready to commit like that even late in the season, but who knows that's just speculation haha.
Redfishr, I love me some baldpates too, drakes are some of the prettiest things to me, but is it just me or do they smell kinda funny when you clean em. No matter where I shoot em on the coast or more central they always seem to smell kind of musty. Taste just fine, just smell really weird when I clean em, not like any other ducks.
Thanks for taking a look at my report, good luck to everyone. Everyone keep posting reports, I have a dynamics and fluid dynamics test next monday so I need some help procrastinating for the next week!
