Raven is a fine lake. Idle speed only of you fire up your big engine, a no wake lake. I forget the launch price and I think it's per person. Two of us was about ten dollars. Largemouths are good and cats are good. Alligators are all around, you can't miss them, and there are campsites for overnight.
Lake Raven is supposed to be some very good bass fishing. And it's one of the lakes that is part of the World Record Bass Operation run by TPWD. They have released a bunch of 6-inch fingerling bass spawned from bass donated in the Share A Lone Star Lunker program. I'd love to make it up that way someday.
