Emailing a video

How do I email a video off my camcorder? I have it dowloaded to my computer but when I try to send it as an attachment it won't send because the file is so big. I've heard you can pay to have like your own website to download them to and then who ever you emailed it to can open it from there. I've used Youtube but you lose quality. -Roach
