Met up with INdy and a bud and hunted the refuge this am. We hiked the
1 1/4 mile out to blind 10 in the middle of the pond area. We had 6 1/2 doz duck dekes out and never fired on a duck all morning. Instead we managed to down a few geese. Final tally was 2 snows and 2 Lesser Canadians. Indy and I killed one each. We were excited because we not only had never killed a Lesser before but we got them from the same group. Lots of sky busting but our blind had the best harvest with 4 birds from the whole place again.
Pretty cool to start an ole mans birthday by killing his first Lesser Canadian. Another highlight was watching Chloe work. She retrieved geese for the first time today. The first one she was after was still alive and she chased it down across the water to catch it. Kinda nice since she never really knew what to do with a goose, she hasn't had much exp. picking them up. Ha!
Didn't get the pics developed, hope to show them tomorrow.
I'm gonna have to show them, got some buds from a goose field that don't know ifin we really dropped any
