Two Questions

If you were not concerned with price...........

1. what rifle (brand and caliber) would you buy for all-round hunting (deer, exotics, hogs, turkey)?

2. what pistol (brand and caliber) would you buy for concealment to be worn in a fanny pack?

wow... alot of awesome custom setups out there... and can get downright nasty on price... (Shilens, etc.) LOL.. depending on type of hunting (stand or hiking??)... You need more than one type of rifle if price is no object.

For a pistol.. any comfortable 44 magnum would do... takes javalinas out at 100 yards. LOL

Personally........I would use a .270 for all round hunting, a Tikka or Remington. For a concealable pistol, I would get a Ruger or Taurus .357 mag. I carry a Taurus .357 hammerless 7-shot revolver. It has a 2 in ported barrel which makes recoil not a concern. I carry it as a back up and off duty.

I agree. I would take a look at the Tikkas. I have a .270 and love it.

I like the senderos or BDL's.. remingtons.... .243 is great on deer/pigs but .270 and up for most anything else you want.

weatherby mark V accumarks are about $1200 and provide a nice stand rifle in .270 mag or .300 mag.

A rifle with at least 24" brl Winchester Remington 270 or 308 notice the Winchester calibers. For CCW I prefer S&W Titainims so light you for get you have them on.
