Amen!

No giving up here Melon! I'm here to the very end win or loose. People who have followed this team throughout the season should know this has how its been all year long. Nothing comes easy but they never give up. Even on the losing end it was a good game. Gater

Heck, the white Sox did everything right this game. In the 6th and 7th, we hit bullets at the 3rd basemen - just didn't get thru. we'll get the split tomorrow.

still going

They'll be ok, Clemens start worried me more than any of the others. Just because he hasnt been healthy in a while and he's too stubborn/competitive to admit when he cant go. We'll be ok though. Good to see Willy T finally slinging some wood but it was all wasted. I was on the Bagwell bandwagon as he was the emotional pick as the DH for this game. BUT, his deficencies glared at me last night. That closer they troted out there was bringing the mustard and Bags was just plain over matched. But, we'll take the split tonight and bring it home all even steven. LOB is already haunting us, we cold have saved Wandy and put some crooked numbers up there but it was all for naught. Time to regroup this evening, fire up the grill once again, ice down the brew, and get after em again. Go Stros.

Oh yea, one more thing. Was that Crede something or what? man that guy was showin some leather last night. NOTHING seemed to get by him. Dont know if Ive ever seen a player make so many dazzling stops in one game. Dude has skills.

luv them, dont hate me .. but i was wondering a few things last nite
.. to the hitting coaches,
how to advance a base runner when there's no out or 1 out, swing batter swing?
how to handle down the middle 99mph fast ball?

yup, we were out pitched last 2 innings, but it was all done to spook the stros at bat. even the sign the other coach used to call the big & tall guy ..

my thoughts, hold the swing as much as possible and take the strike .. force him to throw the maximum heat down the middle .. 99mph fast balls cant find corners too well.

At 100 mph if you could get some solid wood on it the ball would go, even Everett would have a chance to take it out. We just need a couple of people to hit the ball solid against Jenks, I bet the 24 year old would fall apart and lose his composure. Right now he thinks he's Superman (maybe rightfully so after that outing), but speed ain't everything... someone's gonna catch up to it.

Go Stros!

Its only game 1 and played in the bad guys home park. Astros played pretty good, but couldn't get the ball past you know who!!! I am more concerned about Clemons, his hamstring problem could be related to a back problem which is cause for worry.

"NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE THE HEART OF A CHAMPION" and these guys have heart plus a little grit thrown in.

No biggie, we have lost the first game in all the playoff series so far this year, why make this one any different. Don't have to take them in 4 games (would have been nice) to get those rings!

GO ASTROS!
