green bean problem

we only planted a hand full of green beans this year in our empty flower bed and are having a problem with them. they came up very nicely. last week or so some of the lower leaves started turning light brown with brown spots on them. is this some type of fungus, or bug maybe. we only have 10-12 plants so its not a huge amount. any help would be great. MIKE

Sounds kind of like a fungus to me...but too much fertilizer and/or water problems may also be the culprit.

I don't think it is too much water which would be yellow leaves... maybe too much fertilizer.. But, then again, it's hard to say without more info/pictures.
