Hey guys I wanna take my boy mangrove snapper fishing at south padre island for a weekend. Anybody know a spot or where I can catch them without a boat???? Thanks!!!
When I went to school down there we'd catch em off the jetties. Kayak into the port, or the Gayman Bridge on 48 from Brownsville to Port Isabel. Waters kinda cool so not sure if you'd still be able to catch em right now. I'd say it beats staying at the house.

This. Hard to get to with out a boat and really need a ripping tide there. The water is really cool right now so not too sure how much luck you will have.
Caught some big ones at the end of the jetty but the water was 15* warmer at least.
This one was pretty big.
