Just wanted to kick this group off....

First off I own a "Classic" Kenner, which I consider any boat to be made before 2003, as I understand that '03 was the year that Kenner was completely taken over by Tracker Marine. I am not making any presumptions that Classic Kenner's are better, just that these are the original Bill Kenner built boats.

My boat is a '01 21 Vision with a 150 Johnson, jackplate, and tunnel hull. Top speed is about 43-45 MPH, depending on how it's loaded. I really like the boat overall and plan on owing it a long time. I recently bought the boat from another 2cooler.

I named this the Kenner 21 club but all sizes and styles are welcome.

I own an 18 ft Kenner that is still in the proccess of getting the floor replaced. I also bought it from a fellow 2cooler. It is an 89' 18 ft tunnel hull with a 120 johnson and jackplate. I have no idea on the performance of the boat. It was not running when I bought it. I am updating progress on the boat in the boating forum under "1989 Kenner project". I should have it back home to start putting it back together within the next week.

I read your thread, looks great so far. I would think that the 120 Johnson would move that boat pretty good, at least 40-50. Do you have a tunnel/jackplate? No tunnel = + 5 mph. Mine goes 43 with a 150 but is a much heavier boat.

Any updates on speed etc? I really love how your boat turned out, great thread.

I've got an older model (1990)shallow running Kenner 18ft. w/115 Yamaha. It has the Rolled Gunnel Hull and launches in around, 22" of water. It runs well, after a few carb problems. I have owned it for a year. I put a Great White 82lb. trolling motor, and a Lowrance HDS-10, and Structure Scan. Yeah, I realize the equipment is worth more than the boat. LOL. I fish Conroe, Lake Stubblefield, Lake Livingston, and LL Dam. Glad to me ya'll!

Only my second boat, but I love it. 21 ft. 1989 model with 120 evinrude V4 looper. Bought it from a friend 4 years ago and have slowly spruced it up. Replaced the entire floor and had the console glassed in and gave her a tandem axle trailer to ride on. It does not have any carpet except in the storage. Will run around 45 mph if not too loaded down at about 4600 rpm, but don't usually care to go quite that fast. Like to keep rpm at about 4200 or less. Great layout, simple, easy to work on.....

Only draw backs....... small fuel tank 33 gal. and no storage in the console

Next big project will be to put a brand new engine on and I will be set. Maybe new gel coat too.

I recently acquired a 2000 Kenner 2100 Vision with a 2001 Merc 200 from a member. It's only my second boat and I'm enjoying it a lot. My boat has 2 livewells. Question: is the livewell plumbing suppose to have a small (about 1/8th inch) bleeder hose that drains into the bilge?

Neve seen one like that.....like an overfill?
