We must have spoken about moving 6 times, but each time the trout seemed to want to have a chance to be caught. It seemed no sooner were the words muttered, "We should head out," That someone was doubled over with a nice trout. We were fishing chest deep on the north shore of ES Bay casting as far as we could into the south wind. You know the depth where you have to jump to cast...That was us on Saturday. The trout just don't seem to have moved shallow up on the sand yet, but if you can be patient, find quality bait and be willing to get uncomfortable you can certainly find the fish. For our pruned hands and stubbornness, we were rewarded with near limits of better than average sized trout to 26"...with several over 20". No trout over 25" were strung on the FishSlick. All on Arties...Good Day with Good Friends!

I'll let Spoon fill in the details since she went this afternoon with Kels and then again with me at 6:30 pm. No wind and slick as glass. Tried a different spot than Sat, and caught a bunch of whites. Also 11-13 inch stripers mixed in with the whites. Even caught 3 fish in the marina as we were going and coming. Released them all, but I would conservatively guess 40+ fish in the PM trip in about an hour and a half. Not as many as Sat, but steady action. All in less than 9 feet of water. Loved it, and I wish I could post iphone videos. These pics will have to suffice for now.
