WFN to Deliver Fifteen New & Returning Original Series

Lunkerville, Jarrett Edwards Outdoors, Big Coast Fishing and Fishing the Flats Headline the Roster of Returning Shows; Emmy Winning The Joy of Fishing Joins Fall Lineup

WFN: World Fishing Network, North America's only television network, online and mobile platform dedicated exclusively to fishing and outdoor enthusiasts, today announced its schedule of Fall programming featuring 15 new and returning television series.

New shows debuting on the network include: the HT Redfish Series featuring 32 teams battling it out for the championship title; Backwoods Angler TV, where Eastern Pennsylvania guide and smallmouth bass specialist Blaine Mengel travels and fishes the rivers, lakes and ponds of the Northeastern US; Fish O Mania Home International, the four way international fishing competition of the United Kingdom; Westcoast Sporting Journal, presenting the best steelhead, salmon and Pacific offshore species fishing in British Columbia; and The Joy of Fishing, the Emmy® Award-winning television series hosted by Northwest angler Wayne Van Burger, following his worldwide adventures from fly casting to giant trout in Kamchatka, Russia to landing roosterfish in La Paz, Mexico.

September starts with new seasons of Lunkerville, hosted by New York personality Mike de Avila, and Texas-based Jarrett Edwards Outdoors, the multi-species show dedicated to the public fishing waters of the Western US. New episodes will also air for Reel Animals with Captains Mike and Billy fishing the coastal waters of the Southeastern US, Water & Woods with host John Gillespie and his special guests on their quest for big fish in the Midwest, and the FLW Tour, the world's premiere bass fishing tournament circuit.

Returning to WFN with new season premieres are: Fishing the Flats featuring Master Angler Henry Waszczuk landing barracuda, bonefish, permit and other strong-fighting shallow water species; Fish TV, with its exciting, entertaining and educational destination fishing throughout the continent; Fish O Mania, the United Kingdom's largest fishing tournament; Extreme Angler TV, featuring host Karl Kalonka's realistic insights about angling techniques, equipment and strategy; and Big Coast Sportfishing, highlighting saltwater sportfishing adventures up and down the West Coast.

Series Information

Backwoods Angler TV
Backwoods Angler TV is hosted by PA smallmouth specialist Blaine Mengel Jr. and produced in Eastern PA by Christopher G. Manley. Tag along with Blaine and his crew as they travel and fish across the Northeastern US, fishing both remote waters and those within casting distance of the largest cities in the area. Add loads of teaching, tips, and witty humor and you'll be educated and entertained.

Big Coast Sportfishing
For the angler, the Big Coast beholds a salty adventure of mythical proportions. Massive Chinook and acrobatic Coho salmon, monster halibut and a daunting fishing challenge. Add in killer and humpback whales, sea lions and bald eagles and nature in its finest state is on full display. Big Coast is produced in Whistler, BC, by Ridelounge HD. Shot in stunning 19x9 large format high definition. Hosted by Tim Milne and Brian Savard, Big Coast is the handcrafted HD saltwater sportfishing adventure of the West Coast. Extreme Angler TV
Extreme Angler Television has become so popular so fast because of its ability to target, appeal and entertain a wide viewing audience by combining fast paced editing, unique and innovative camera angles and often amazingly large fish. At the core of Brand-X is the popular host Karl Kalonka who offers the home viewer a realistic insight about techniques, equipment and strategies involved in fishing at an up-tempo pace with cutting-edge, innovative entertainment in both regional and exotic filming locations.

Fish O Mania
The United Kingdom's largest fishing tournament, Fish 'O Mania is an annual event that pits 16 competitors head-to-head. Working at stations on a small body of water, each angler is given a time limit to catch as many fish as possible. With regular weigh-ins throughout the day, the tension mounts in anticipation of a grand champion.

Fishing the Flats
With 20 years of experience under his belt, Master Angler Henry Waszczuk explores shallow water fishing for some of the most dynamic saltwater fish that can be caught on rod and reel.

Fish TV
Your hosts Leo Stakos, Ron James and Owen Nolan set their sites on great fishing destinations throughout the continent. The 3 E's in outdoor television. Excitement, entertainment and education. Fish TV is also devoted to the conservation of our natural resources, while at the same time enjoying everything it has to offer. HT Redfish Series
The Academy Sports and Outdoors HT Professional Redfish Series is an invitational tour where the top 30 teams from across the country were invited to compete in the most lucrative, professional redfish tour available today. With tour stops from Florida to Texas these coastal shootouts are 3 day tournaments, all teams fish days 1 and 2 with the top 10 teams moving on to fish day 3 and for their part of the nearly $500,000.00 in cash and prizes by season's end. First place at each event pays $25,000.00 and all 10 teams making the cut to fish on day 3 are guaranteed a check. Each event takes place in the very best areas available today for big crowds, big redfish and big money.

Jarrett Edwards Outdoors
A groundbreaking multi-species show dedicated to the popular public fishing waters of the western US.

Lunkerville
While other fishing shows rely on fast-paced pro-tournament competition, host "Mike D" casts his line at everyday, recreational bass fishermen, traveling to their secret spots and sharing their special techniques.

Reel Animals
Called the fishing show "with an edge", Reel Animals Fishing Show features our two popular fishing captains doing what they do best—searching the scenic coastal waters of the Southeastern United States and beyond. They find all the fish biting spots. When our viewers get in the boat with Captain Mike and Captain Billy –they get two things; first – an exciting fishing adventure and second, a heck of a lot of fun!

The Joy of Fishing
Beaver Hill presents the Emmy® Award-winning television series, The Joy of Fishing. From Oregon's Adventure Coast, follow Wayne Van Burger as he seeks out fighting fish at destinations across the world while learning successful techniques and cooking up gourmet seafood with the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute. Created by Emmy® Award-winning producer Travis Cooper, The Joy of Fishing is a cinematic blend of music, motion and nature as experienced through the people who love the journey.

Water & Woods
John's entertaining on air style sets him apart from the other outdoor shows. He himself portrays the average angler going on a fishing trip with an expert. He employs some of the biggest fishing names in the Midwest such as Pete Maina. These regular co-hosts take John all over the Upper Midwest and Canada on a quest for big fish.

Westcoast Sporting Journal
A west coast television series from British Columbia dedicated to both gear and fly techniques for chrome bright steelhead, salmon and offshore species providing the hottest saltwater and freshwater fishing destinations each week with detailed instruction needed to succeed as an angler.
