Looking for a low cost broker for short term and day trading. Less than Scottrade.

Check out Interactive Brokers ... quite a few swing / day traders on a site I subscribe to use them. Many also us TradeStation ... but their platform fee can be high unless you trade a lot.

These both seem great and I have saved them.

Thank you for the help

Since you asked......My Brother is a broker with Summit Brokerage. He offers a full range of financial services and he's very easy to talk to. I would not normally recommend this type of thing here but, he's my brother, he's honest, he won't churn your account or put his interests or the interests of his brokerage above yours. He has also developed an investment strategy that so impressed his brokerage that they helped him get NASD approval and they are paying for an ad campagne that's going to be coming out in the Houston Business Journal. http://www.top10growthstrategy.com/

Check him out. Give him a call and I think you'll find him to be easy to talk to and not pushy at all.

Incidently, he's an avid fisherman too.

I know www.bankofamerica.com (http://www.bankofamerica.com) you can do free trades if you keep at least at total of 25k on deposit.

Take a look at this club for daytraders. Platinumtraders.net This is different and you need to look closely but seems like a good way for 5k or less to daytrade
