Just wondering how many of y'all have gained weight since quitting. In three months of quitting, I gained around 20 lbs. I started walking at night about a month ago for about two weeks and lost about ten lbs. Thanksgiving last week and overeating this week took me back to 20 lbs gained. On a somewhat related note: If y'all have the time to walk in the morning or night I highly recommend it. It was brutal the first few nights but slowly got used to it. Combined with the tobacco quit, it makes you feel that much more healthy. Almost like you are reversing all the damage from tobacco use. Try it.....you'll like it.

Cardio in the morning on an empty stomach is best for losing weight. If you are going to do cardio in the evening then do it after your last meal. Combine that with a healthier diet and you cannot help but lose weight. If you really want to see fast results, cardio twice a day with a clean diet.

ohhh yeah, I have been eating ice cream ate 10pm. I used to never eat it. I also eat more at supper and am constantly looking for a snack during the day. Did not weigh before I quit, I think I was approx 170. I started walking at work, a fast walk for 10 to 15 minutes. Stretching before and after.

When I quit I gained about 30 pounds. I have leveled off now at about 20 pounds over.

Yepper! Put on about 20lbs. but I'd still rather have the weight. Me and my Gf just started running at night, ouch! But I do already feel better.

I am trying to keep my excercise regimen while quitting but I am eating so much junk I think the pounds are going to be coming. I don't care if I gain a few though better than smoking cigarettes.

been working on quiting for a while down to 1 every other day unless beer is involved. I haven't gained weight because when I decided to quit my doctor say your metabolism slows down, so I got a stepper and every time I want a cig I get on that till the craving is gone. I'm down 2 pant sizes. Smile and have a great day

My last cigarette was a few days before thanksgiving, since that time I have gained 25 pounds. I think I am pretty much over the smoking for the most part, hardly ever want one, (less that 20 times a day anyway), jk,. I cant afford to gain any more weight, cant afford clothes, uniforms etc. Hopefully with the Holidays out of the way there will be less sweets and more time for excercise. I really didn't worry about the weight gain over the past month and a half, I think it will be easier to loose the weight than it was to stop smoking. PS, I had been trying to quit most of the year.
