That gives me chills. Those were such great days in Houston during the 94 and 95 seasons... I remember it like it was yesterday.

Total Domination. That was the Greatest individual performance in Houston Sports History. The Dream has to be one of the top 2 greatest centers of all time. David " the little mermaid" Robinson I would rank some where between 6-8 .Sorry "little mermaid" fans but he did not get his titles until TD came to town (who btw I think is 1 of the top 2 greatest Forwards of all time.) DR was way toooooo soft, like dirk . TD like the Dream like Kobe like MJ like Bird like Magic have that killer instinct unlike DR. JMHO.:wink:

no kidding, I hate to live in the old days but that was probably the best 2 years of Houston sports...IMO way better than the things the Astros have accomplished in the last 2-3 years. Hakeems performance was the most dominating performance of any Houston athelete in Houston sports history.

You know what's really funny about this? David Robinson is one of the most respected players to ever play in the NBA. He built a school in San Antonio with his own money and he is universally liked by everyone he meets. Plus, he has two rings on his hand, which dirk von hasnonuts will never achieve. Say what you want about him he is a better man than most of those other "centers" will ever be.

wait wait wait the man has basketball acheavments like almost noone else. if he was not a good player then why is he one of the 50 greatest? and why is he on a list of 4 people with a quadrople-double? yes olajowon is on that list to but DR missed the quad 3 other times dream did it once and never got close again. why was he the 1st person to go 7 season as all nba 1st team and all nba defencive 1st team in his 1st 7 season. the only other person the beat that is TD by the way. the list goes on and on. he has scoring titles and rebound titles and block titles and you say he was a bad player.
you know i dont like to take personal shots at people but in this case i have to say YOU SIR ARE AN IDIOT.

Hakeem the dream is in my opinion one of if not the best ALL AROUND CENTER TO PLAY THE GAME. And that includes Bill Russel, Jabbar, Wilt, and Shaq. His game was inside, out side, he had the best hands of any center ever. He was the quickest, best footwork. Would steal the ball like a point gaurd. A shot blocking machine. I bet he is wondering why you have such an idiotic opinion of him. David has two rings just like hak, plus tons more respect and admiration throughout the league and especially in San Antonio. Just my thoughts though.
I never gave a idiotic opinion of david. He's a great person on the court and off, just like the dream. But I will not use such word with you, simply because I have self respect.

i dont fully agree that olajuwon was that much better if any. i mean look at the numbers the 2 are almost identical in every stat and robinson did it averaging full minute less per game. while H O did have some higher numbers in most cats, the ones that stand out to me are the fouls and tournovers. almost one more foul per and a half a tournover per. 1/10 of a block and H O is the all time leader. the numbers are not that far apart and they dont lie.

spurs are better coached than anyteam especially right now. even riley and jackson cant keep up.
spurs still have the highest winning percentage of all mojor sports teams and they stay under the cap or right at it every year.

Ranger, unfortunately everyone will always look at the way David was abused by him during the playoffs. Not fair, but who said life is.
hey pocboy, no problem. I wish we had players that would dedicate themselves to the game like the dream, david, majic, bird, and so on. These guys knew how to play the game. And one thing I liked about the dream was ever summer he would work on his game, and start the new season even better than before.
Hakeem made the rockets a champion not the front office. Our front office compared to the spurs is sad....

Pop is the man for sure. He consistently makes great personel decisions and gets the most out of his players.

Again well said. Dream was way better than a really good DR. Do doubt @ it. And as a whole the Spurs are a way better organization than a really good Rockets organization ( 4 finals apperances and 2 championships). I've got to get back to the present though......... so I'm off to the other Rockets thread.
