Went fishing with LordGareth (my very good friend Juan) today and we found some flatfish! The first few took live mullet, but most were caught on Berkley GULPS sardine and New Penny shrimp. Slow retrieve bouncing off the bottom with occasional twitch and they were nailing them. 9 fish brought home with several missed due to letting go during the reel in or being lost at the net.
Fish brought home went from 15" to 21".
Probably would have done a little bit better if my grandson hadn't been having a bad day.

Wow, congratulations on the flounder fillets. I can't wait to go later in the week.
The table looks really cool. I just looked them up on their website. I may ask for one for Christmas.

No, the fish were all caught between 2:00 pm and 5:30 pm. There was still a LITTLE daylight in the sky when the photos were taken, camera just didn't pick it up so it looks really dark.

Good job on the flatties Kay, were you using a 1/8 th or 1/4 oz jighead.
I've been using a carolina rig with a flounder hook with the mullet but using a 1/8 jighead for the Gulps but I rig the Gulps tandem (curly tails)

I was using 1/4 oz jig... I'm not sure what Juan was using.
Sounds like a nice catch, wish I could see the pics they're not showin' up here.
Good job.
