Louisville at Rutgers is coming on ESPN in a few minutes. It should be a pretty good game...... Louisville is ranked ahead of Texas, so we need them to lose.
Edit: I see the no sports on TTMB is ironclad. O well....... The thread title is a little misleading, Michigan will also need to lose.

Guess you will have to settle for them being the best 2 loss team in the nation now.

Yep, we have to swallow that pill. At least we have a what if, with McCoy going out on the first drive. What is Franchione's what if? He's 0-3 against the meaningful teams in the conference right now. That's just this season...... Us Texas fans still have 2 games to root for, that's the Turkey Day game and the Big 12 Championship!
Greg Davis' job security better be in question after this debacle. That was stupid to put McCoy on the line on the very first drive. This was KState,,,,, with McCoy it should've been 48-35.

Greg Davis? Ya'll scored 42 stinking points... maybe you should be pointing your finger at the Def. Coord.!

Thank goodness I have a good stock of beer and fine cigars. I'm going to go out on my porch and enjoy good tunes and the sounds of a quiet town.

LOL what deductive reasoning....hey how about this, what if the horns went undefeated this year and beat every team by 50+ points then they wouldve been the best college football team ever!!!!! OOHHHHHH so close!!!! LOL. BTW where's the "what if" column? Does that come before or after the ties? You guys just have to take it....I love to see the horns join the wouldve/couldve club.

Don't get me started on the Franchione win/loss record against winning teams since he's been your coach.
I admit my thinking is a little flawed. It's just hard to blame a Def. Coordinator when he has the 7th ranked run defense in the Nation. This 112th pass defense was the end. I've always put it on a Lazy Secondary. Some assistants are going to get fired and some players are going to be running bleachers.
There's still 2 games to go that matter this season.

Let's play the what if game...What if Neb. didn't fumble that ball after completing the first down against ya'll? What if Tech had a defense or put up one more TD in the second half...Ya'll would now be sitting on 4 losses instead of just 2.

3 things....
1. Never claimed that ever that Fran or A&M was more than what it was/is...average football team that can give alot of teams a run for their money when playing at home.
2. He's isn't my coach b/c I don't play for A&M and I can make the distinction b/w cheering for a team and actually being on the team.
3. TEXAS FREAKING CHOKED!!!!!!! AND AGAINST A HORRIBLE FOOTBALL TEAM. THEY PUT UP 42 POINTS AND PEOPLE STILL WANT TO BLAME GREG DAVIS....CLASSIC.
SO PLAY YOUR 2 GAMES B/C I AM QUITE SURE THAT the sips will hand it to A&M when they play. But the awesome part is that some of you nearsighted hornfans just got a new prescription for your glasses today and are now seeing clearly.

hey spots dont get sucked into the what if game...let the horns drivel in the what if misery!!! Let the horns win the "what if" national championship.

Just got back from College Station. I'll tell you Franchione's "what if". What if he realized he had awesome players, a defense that adjusts and performs very well, and decided he could pay attention to clock and time out management and call just a few good plays. Not asking much, really. I have been to all Aggie home games, and I will still not call for the f word until after the season, but Fran has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against two excellent teams these last two weekends. Stuff like running an option to the short side of the field on 1st down when we are trying to burn time and running out of bounds? I could go on and on, but he has got to prove an awful lot to me in a very short time if he deserves to reside in College Station any longer. As far as Texas, doesn't sound like you can blame Snead on this loss, sounds like he held his own. 45 points by KSU wasn't his fault.
Spell out for me what you want me to see. I'm an honest person. Classic opportunity.

I have to say something here. I've never quite got why A&M doesn't want another Texas team to win a National Championship for Our State. Will you guys explain that to me also. I would root for you.....

Spell out for me what you want me to see. I'm an honest person. Classic opportunity.Ok, here are a few things:
1. Texas does not walk on water. You have had some good years but what goes up must come down
2. A&M has had some tough years and we may talk coaching but that is what family is about - weren't there 'fire mack' websites beginning of last year?
3. If you can dish it, be sure you can take it. I don't mean this rudely.
Yes, A&M lost again tonight by 1 point. It was a heartbreaker, we were there. And I look forward to T+1.

I would root for you.....Honest question, would you really root for the Ag's to win? With all the stuff spewed between the two teams, I have a hard time believing it. I have been to Memorial Stadium, I've seen the 'sheep'. I've also been shoved against the wall while walking to the ladies room (I am a woman) and the police just stood there. I'm sure that wasn't you but I think this explains my feelings. Also, I'm all for another team from Texas going for National Champions.

AS far as any rude conduct towards a woman you could be dam9nd sure I would put an end to it. I don't go for that carp.(I hate it wherever I go)

I don't get my rocks off by watching other teams lose. I would rather it be settled on the field. 3rd party smack is weak.
As for winning another MNC, I don't really see as how another horn win is gonna benefit me, except for the fact that it will raise expectations to unbelievable levels which cannot be sustained.
Sorry guys, but t.u. does not represent everybody in this fine state. Your case for state pride doens't hold water for me.
Trust me, I am glad for my true longhorn friends when their team wins. It's the wannabes wearing puke orange everyday, talking smack, and generally being bandwagon fans that gets under my skin. I congratulate the longhorns on their win.
On an unrelated note, I have a buddy here at work who is a wannabe longhorn fan. He told me last week (after the OU loss) that he didn't believe that Mack is a good coach, for basically the reasons that people were saying prior to '05 (Mr. February, conservative, etc). I truly hope that all longhorn fans share the same mentality, as the sooner Mack Brown is gone from Austin, the quicker my team can rise up. You will not find a better coach anywhere (bar none) than Mack Brown. As long as horn fans believe otherwise, the pressure and expectations will continue to mount.

That's exactly right I was with a true diehard longhorn fan and friend last night and I told him I was cheering for the horns b/c it would be a horrible loss considering all that has happened in college football in the last 3 days. But in the back of my mind if they lost I couldn't wait to hear all the crying from the exact people you are talking about and it's music to my ears.
