OK...You may know me as a Carr hater, but I will let the Carr lovers have this one. This is a legitimate post, no stirring and could have real info given.

Seeing that the Texans and Carr played well against Jax last time, what can you see happening if:

1. the Texans play well again and win. Carr has another good game. Is all good with the world OR do you see Carr being TOO inconsistant to be a starter? Or do you see him turning the corner after 5 years.

2. they play well but lose. You see him as a decent QB that just can't win when necessary, or you stick with him and keep losing close games HOPING that he gets better.

3. They play like they did against the cowboys. Do you pull him after the half, or stay with him to see if he can improve his game management and keep working on the things they have been going over at practice?

Now this is for the Carr lovers, I know what the haters will be saying so lets give the 4 guys on here that still believe in him a chance. They may say something to actually sway our opinions and we may soon see the light.

The Jags are an up and down team this year with imressive wins and disappointing loses. With that being said, it is also very difficult to win on the road no matter who you face. Just ask the Bears. I'm going to have to give the nod to J'ville this weekend. I believe Carr is a good QB, but will end up moving on from here before finding success. To his credit, he never really has had an offensive line that could protect him. I also think he understands that being the QB, he is going to be grilled by everyone for not ever being apart of a team with a winning record, because that comes with the territory.

Really the only fair thing to do is let Carr play the season out and judge him on the entire season. Of course, if he turns in too many more performances like the Tennessee game, then pull him and move on without him.

I'm not a Texan hater, but I don't think they have a realistic chance in this game. Hopefully, they'll be able to keep it close.

So, do we dismiss judging the first 4 seasons???

Coach Kubiak was addressing Carr on TV and said, he (Kubiak) is still confident he can get him out of his happy feet problem. Kubiak said he had the same problems himself. Coach says it will take time but he thinks David will overcome it and be a top QB. If Kubiak and the staff stay unchanged, Carr will just get better each game.

I am a Texans fan before a Carr fan. I see progress. As long as we move forward, I'm on board. He sucked at Tenn. Nuff said.

The Jags are bent and will be looking to run it up on Sunday.

So, do we dismiss judging the first 4 seasons???No Louie, we do not. We just need to consider the fact that the offensive system used by the previous regime was so lame that it had severe negative influences on his performance. Take that for what it is worth, but I am not trying to say that Carr is blameless. A lot of the blame goes to him. Honestly, there is a lot about his game that I do not like, and I have my doubts on whether he can be a very good NFL QB. He makes mistakes right now that a 5th year QB has no business making.

With that said, the Texans have a pile of money invested in him, so they really need to see if he can turn it around. He is playing much better than ever this year. It still might not be good enough. I am sure Kubiak is the only guy who really knows what this guy can do. This team will not contend this year regardless of who is behind center, so there is nothing to lose by leaving Carr in there. Of course, if we see some serious regression, ie continued fumbled snaps, happy feet, no pocket presence, lack of poise, tripping over his linemen etc., without real improvement, I say bench his but and put Sage in there. I trust Kubiak will make the right call. Don't forget that Carr has a ton of physical talent. He can make throws that few qBs can make. His biggest problem is between the ears.

I was on record as saying the Texans should draft Vince Young. I really think Mario will be a monster though.

Yeah, it seems that the combined factor of being on the road and payback for the last game will stack the odds against us. For some reason, the Texans always play Jax tough. It would not surprise me to see another close game. You have to like the Jags in this game though.
