How in the sam heck can it be any different than any of the other football posts..where is anyone arguing?? Is it some sort of 2cool violation to be a football fan and discuss a game? Let me be sure I understand this ...A&M fans can bash their own coach but I can't make one little vague remark? We are all grownups here, and again..no one is arguing anything...Texas football rivalry's have been around for over 100 years and all of a sudden we cannot discuss it??

These threads are being moved now because unfortunatley some cant act like grown ups. Sports threads have been a part of this forum for years but in the last 3-4 weeks every one has turned into a finger pointing, "Im bigger than you", argument and many were getting tired of it. Your thread was fine, except for the fact that come Monday morning when all the ticked off Aggies come into work that thread will take off like a wildfire. We are in the process of closing/deleting no less than 4-5 threads a day because forum rules cant be abided and lines are crossed. We are trying to head it off at the pass before it gets there. I wish we didnt have to touch them at all, it would be much easier on us and funner for the members. But it is what it is. The jungle is not forbidden land, if it gets moved down there it only takes the same amount of clicks of the mouse to get there as it does here. Sorry for the inconvenience but its what has to be done right now. Thanks.

Good explanation Gator, except why single out "ticked off Aggies" getting to work and making it take off like a wildfire... There are plenty of other "ticked off" fans on here, not just Aggies... C'mon, you're better than that.

Absolutely. I just said Aggies cause it related to the post in question. The Texans/Cowboys, Spurs/Mavs threads are also good examples. It clearly states in the forum rules no personal attacks will be allowed and most if not all of these threads have resulted in just that.

and to think, it's just a football game.
Maybe we need a sports forum. Im watching the Texans-Giants game, and its actually a very good football game.

Gatorbait, you can't use the word "funner". The proper redneck wording is "more funner". Just kidding, that's just our local joke.
welcome to your new forum, folks. I was also one that grew tired of the "rivalry" threads. This is the spot for them. Mods, pls move all new related threads that pop up on TTMB here.

I am glad this is here. Lets keep it reasonable though.
Don't sound like the kid who always gets picked last, still ends up on the winning 5th grade kickball game of the day and act like you are the Super Bowl MVP.
Thanks Mont and Gator for setting up the new forum...But up on TTMB there was accountability. The posting was informational and entertaining other than for a few. I just think it's gonna get out of hand down here in "The Bottom Dweller". Maybe there is middle ground on the board somewhere.
But I know, .50 and my opinion won't even by a cup of Starbucks. :)
