My compliments to the entire 12th Man and everyone in attendence at the game last night. I couldn't make the game, but I got butterflies every time they showed you all waving your towels, screaming your heads off, doing yells and singing the Aggie War Hym!!!

Once again we showed the county we are second to none when it comes to home field advantage and TRADITION!!!!! You all sure did make me proud to be an Aggie and gave me and my 2 yr old son all the motivation to join you in yelling and hollaring for our fellow AGs! Well done!

That's the shame of it all, TAMU has it all, facilities, fans, tradition, players, and the coach fails to have confidence in what got 'em there. The running game.

Yep, it got pretty loud. The 12th man showed up strong as usual. I cant beleive we threw the ball on 3rd and goal from the two. Should have run the big hamburgaler and if necessary run him again on fourth down.

Thanks for the kind words; It's hard to believe that after 4 years I only have one more march in and game as part of the 12th man. Last night was crazy loud. I think it was either the loudest or one of the loudest games at Kyle since I've been here.

Ag07, man I wish I could have been there. I am in the middle of a major turn around at work and had to miss the game. Missed the great food and beverages at the tailgate as well. At least I can pay my bills. "Gig Em Ags" BTHOnu!!!!!

No harm, no foul. I felt the same kinda frustration and I wrote that on anyother post that has been moved to the Jungle. ("Franchione"). I just wanted this thread to compliment the 12th Man for a job well done and for making me proud to be an Aggie!

Thats lame, but after reading some of your other posts I'd expect that from someone like you. This thread wasn't created to debate or argue any points; just my compliment to the true 12th Man.

It sure got loud. I was sitting in sec 141. It still was a fun game to do to even with the loss.

You're right D99, I should have offered my appreciation to the 12th man also. Once again, they did an outstanding job of showing the Aggie spirit! Sorry for not showing my respect. I was just so frustrated with the play calling that I couldn't think of anything else.http://www.2coolfishing.com/ttmbforum/images/icons/brew.gif

I liked how abc caught the aggies booing on national tv...but we all know aggies never boo! lol

I kept waiting for the close ups of the corps squezzing their boys but franny must have paid them to keep the shots away from the turds

I saw this at another site and thought it was pretty funny....

Will Aggie bust out the inflatable helmet?

Think about it.

College Gameday is in town.

It's a night game on a regional broadcast on ABC (Regional is better than national anyway, they don't want to recruit any of those **** hippies from the coasts).

They finally sold out the biggest home game of the season a little more than 72 hours before kickoff.

It's a Moron Out game (they are undefeated in Moron Out games.... except last year when they played UT, but that was a huge moral victory, so we'll let them continue to think that their shirts have an effect on the game).

What would absolutely put this weekend's game into the nut-squeezin' category before the game even kicked off? You know the answer as well as I do: their super-secret, giant, inflatable aggy helmet for the team to enter through.

I can see it now. Mothratron starts showing highlights of their 1939 MNC, followed by the Heisman highlight reel of John David Crow from the 50s, and it closes with a close up of the last aggy team to finish the season in the Top 5, the mighty 1956 squad. The sepia tones fade into color of this season's highlights... The goal-line stand against the Mighty Army Black Knights, the come from behind win against the 3-6 Kansas Manginos, the overtime win against the unstoppable Okie State Cowpokes, and of course their huge win last weekend against their bitter rivals just up the Brazos. Smoke starts to billow from the inflatable facemask.

The crowd starts to sway and chant about sawing varsity's horns off (even though they are playing OU). Bob Davie starts speaking in tongues on the air as he seized by the Spirit of aggyland! From the smoke emerges Reveille, who stands there like the [censored] she is, snapping at her handlers and wondering who she has to bite to be put down. She finally starts walking to the field to relieve herself, in the process she leads the FIGHTIN' OLD ARMY TEXAS AGGIES FROM TEXAS A AND M onto the sacred grass of Kyle Field Quasi-Memorial (Maybe? Who cares, uncover damnit) Tacklebox and ZONE!!!

The crowd goes nuts. Little Debbies rain down from the stands to give their coach the glucose he needs to prove he is a better gameday coach than Visor Boy. Johnny Moxon, er, Stephen McGee recovers from last weeks concussions in time to remember he no longer has Jordan Shipley to throw to and realize he's in for at least 2 more concussions this week. Tellus starts yelling "Holla!" at no one in particular. Javorski Lane eats a football. Tate Pittman is asking the trainers on the sidelines if they can help him with this (is he even still on the team? If he's not, just imagine he's on the sidelines anyway). And the horses from the Parsons Mounted Cav are ******** everywhere because they are so excited. OU takes the field to hisses (not boos, only classless fehgs do that), the 12th man farts in their general direction, and the ribbonboards start flashing seizure-inducing japanese ads.

Would anything else scream college football more than that?

Make it happen Dollar Bill. Bust out the inflatable helmet!

I have asked a moderator to delete my post #15 due to me confusing 4x4tahoe with 4x4tx. I don't want to confuse 4x4tahoe who has class with the likes of 4x4tx. 4x4tahoe I wish you all the luck in your tryouts for the Coogs next year. 4x4tx could still read the post about learning how to compliment someone. This post was about the 12thman and our traditions not your cheap azzzzz comments about calling us MORONS etc.

Hey spots and dots, nice reading comprehension.

Last I checked this forum was for trash talking! Thats why I put it on here, I wouldnt have done it on the other forum but now its fair game!

Typical aggie, likes to dish it out but cant take the heat! Boo aggy! Yall should have "humped" and "squeezed" more on saturday! Also I thought your tradition was not to boo? Seems like you were caught booing on TV...oh and nice first sell out of the year..so much for the 12th man, other than the extra guy on the field resulting in a penalty! Whoop s!

Well I just don't take to kind to someone who doesn't even have a degree from a school trying to talk **** about my school. As for being a 2% absoultely not. Part of the "Keepers of the Spirt" Make all Big 12 basketball games at Reed and as many preseason games as I can (we're a basketball school now in case you haven't heard;) ) And I make all Aggie Baseball games at Olsen the most fun Aggie Sport to watch IMHO. I'm just trying to soak it all up while I'm still here I sure will miss it when I'm stuck up in North Dakota, Montana, or Wyoming here in about a year and a half or so.

You all don't have any Traditions we can poke fun of like 4X4tx has been doing so well. Hell, you all have to have t-shirts to tell you when to get to a game, and when to leave.

texaggie2007
11-06-2006, 01:26 PM
You all don't have any Traditions Not true; they have a new one, the "Make us proud Texas" campaign, cause of the classless fans they have. Worried about their image among other schools

Hey good luck to you 2007. You sound like a good kid. I have family that is aggie and I respect the traditions, you have some good ones and some that leave me scratching my head. They lead to some good natured ribbing which is all in fun.

You are right, this year the aggies look like they are going to be tough in basketball. Enjoy it, it wont last long :)

As usual, it's the same 2 or 3 horns jumping in on an Aggie thread. Bevo, Capt. D and 4x4tx. Hey between the 3 of them whose taking odds which one will be the first to complain when they don't get a chance to repeat again - saying it's unfair. At least I have enough class to admit when I made a mistake and apologized to 4x4tahoe.

Spots,

Last time I checked this is the first time I have ever chimed in on a aggie thread, but nice try though. Also you won't find me "booing" if the Horns do not make the BCS championship game. After last year, everything now is icing on the cake. A Fiesta bowl game against Notre Dame would make my day but hey if we get another shot at Ohio State I will take it. If not it's ok with me. Just being in this position with a freshman QB says a lot about our program!

bevo/fishing/hunting
11-06-2006, 02:00 PM
Heck, I stated before the season started that TEXAS would lose to tOSU and Nebraska. I'm thrilled to be where we are, not out of the MNC picture. No complaining from me if we go to a BCS game!

11-06-2006, 02:06 PM
What cycle are you reffering to? When ags cheat again and beat us for a few years and win a Big 12 title every 15 years or so?

I like the 2 to 1 advantage we hold against ya'll.. A great cycle it is! Here's to aggy ownage!

Sonny bub...that didnt cost A&M the game. OU made the first down anyway. It wouldve cost A&M the game if they wouldve stopped them. I'm not sure what in the hell that extra player was doing he was lined up about 10 yds deep. BTW just watching and reading your post 4x4 you really must only hang out with horns b/c jesus I dont think anyone else could stand to listen to you for too terribly long. It's is very funny that you guys who spew that pure blinding hatred for A&M let it overcome you so much that you can't even stay away from A&M threads. The fact is that for every minute you are not thinking of sip football you are thinking about A&M football just in a totally different capacity. You obviously spend your time trying to keep up with what happened in A&M games and you probably rush to the tv just as fast when sportscenter recaps A&M games as you do when they recap sip games. We appreciate your concern...lol...but your obsession is outta control.

Personally, I saw a number of 'Horns fans publicly express their desire to see A&M keep winning, except of course when when the two teams meet. I changed the channel right after the Texas game to see if A&M would win.

I have also seen a number of A&M fans publicly express their desire to see Texas lose every week, not to mention the "Saw 'em Off" avatars.

I think the obsession runs both ways, and there are no A&M or Texas threads, just threads.

Here's to both teams' winning until they meet!

Oh I totally agree I think those Aggies that have the same nearsighted "A&M never does anything wrong" are just as crazy as what I listed above. Cheering for you school and being a fan are one thing but when your obsession turns from cheering your school to constantly peeling off lengthy diatribes about why the "other school" is pathetic is in and of itself pathetic and conveys a losers mentality...IMO

that being said all things aside I dont mind seeing the horns win but it's these crazy dudes that make me appreciate when they do lose.

And now for the all time greatest aggie/ t-sip joke.

An aggie and a t-sip are seated next to each other on a plane. The refreshment cart is taking too long and the aggie says to the t-sip " hey, I am going to the back to grab a drink, can I get you anything?" T-sip says "sure, I'll take a Coke." The aggie gets up, and the t-sip notices the aggie left his shoes under the seat. Unable to resist, the t-sip picks up the right shoe, hocks a huge snot-filled lugie in it, and then repeats with the left shoe. The aggie returns, hands the t-sip his coke, and sits down. T-sip begins to drink his coke, all the while eyeing the aggie to see his reaction when he puts his shoes on. The plane prepares to land, t-sip finishes his coke, and aggie slips on his shoes. T-sip starts laughing uncontrollably. Aggie looks at him , sighs, and says " will it never end? the taunting, the rivalry, the hatred between our schools? The late night mascot kidnapping raids, the incessant jokes, the spitting in shoes, and the PEEING in COKES?"

Amen to that,

If you go look at the threads from Saturday night, Charles and I were both watching the Aggy game after UT finished hoping for a Agg win.

I also agree that the obsessions run both ways, just some take the fun over the line!

Annette,
I meant when aggies start doing well in sports then they come out of the woodwork. I didnt hear a peep out of them the last couple of year but now that they are having a decent year, everyone is a big football fan again. Some that dont even know what a football is which was the point of my post. It had nothing to do with just being an aggie, it had more to do with those who follow college sports closely and other that just jump when the timing is right.

I hate to say it but it goes both ways there. I have friends that are fans of each school and It is the same old stuff all the time between the two schools, fans, alumni, and students. I think once a football fan always a fan, only you tend to brag more when you are doing better. 4x4tx that statement above could be given about any college and sport there of.
