We dominated and played great defense tonight...Colt McCoy broke the Texas season touchdown passing record and is only 3 away from the national record (and he is a freshman). I understand things did not go so well down in aggietown today.....HOOK"EM

Tennessee lost to LSU, so they should move up in the BCS standings. But then again, it's all up to how the computer feels Monday.

Lets hope the computer dumps on Loiusville...heck until they payed WVU they had not really had a tough team and WVU had not either. You have to wonder about a team that has Rutgers and WVU as their big games!! News Flash....the usually Texas hating Kirk Herbstreit even said that we were the top one loss team last night. Lets hope the red birds only get to 4. Cant wait till the Michigan vs OSU game!

My ears are still ringing. The crowd was as loud as it's ever been and the afterburners on that B2 were well.... deafening. That fly-over really set tone (no pun intended) for the evening. It was an absolutely AWESOME game...

We actually had them move a little early a few times because of the noise!! I was down getting a soda when the bomber came over and I nearly peed my pants...it sounded like the world was coming to an end down there!! I got to hang with Earl Cambell for a bit over in the End Zone Club, will post a pic later when my buddy emails it to me. Can't wait to cost Franchione his job on the 24th!!!

Their offense jumped 3 times and the defense jumped once. Hanging with Earl at a UT game goes into the PRICELESS category....

Don't make no promises you can't keep.

I'm gonna hold you to that.....

"Horns back in form ? "

When exactly where they out of form ? Please don't let a good run jade your expectations forevermore. An outlandish set of standards , brought on by overzealous alumni and supporters has led to the ruination of more than one good program.

The horns are good right now, real good. They also carry the huge bullseye of national champ. They absolutely don't need more pressure applied by the cigar chomping, burnt orange polo wearing, check writing good ole boy network.

Hmmm...maybe when we played defense like a bunch of girls against Nebraska and Tech and played down to teams of lesser talent. I sat in the stands during the Macovic and McWilliams years and watched the floundering so I am familiar with what that is like, I drove to the Sugar Bowl and watched Virginia Tech beat us despite having Ricky Williams...they had some Vick guy?? I smoke Marlboro's not cigars, prefer my "Oklahoma sucks" t-shirt to a polo and I pay my due's to get my tickets.
As far as jaded goes...well we just might get there.....held them to 80 yards on the ground (average 230), dogged Reid all night he went 11-28 and was picked off twice. And Mack said it best "It wasn't a perfect game, our best game is still out there"...let's hope he's right. I call'em like I see' em...it's a wonder I did not pull an Elvis on my TV's during the Nebraska/Tech games, I love my team enough to get mad when they squander talent and I praise them when they shine. I got to hang out with my childhood hero Earl Campbell last night and even drive him around in a golfcart for a while...I also thanked him for giving me a hero to look up to when I was a kid... he said "yeah thats when I was young" I replied "ah it's all just a state of mind" and Earl said "state of mind my ***...look at me". He left it ALL on the field every night and never took it for granted!

Mr. Z, all I'm really talking about is perspective. I've noticed throughout my life that when I get up too close or become overly passionate about something I tend to loose it. Maybe you're different.

I dont talk with DKR or ride around with Earl, true enough. I'll slink on back to my own reality now. A reality where who wins or loses on Saturday is pretty low on my list of real priorities. I wish you and the horns well.

Z,
That's pretty cool! Did you get any of his sausage recipes? LOL Earl was without a doubt one of the classiest athletes to play the game. You never saw him disrespect himself, the players or the game itself. And his fans have never forgotten him either.

Thanks...and I was born into the madness, in my family it has long been a tradition that Saturdays in the fall we all get together and head downtown to the game or watch at home and get really loud. Heck when I was a kid I would scream so much at the games I would be hoarse for a few days. Mr. Z, all I'm really talking about is perspective. Sounds like me when I was in school down there. Someone remind me why I moved to Dallas?
