View Full Version : Leader Stowage
Does anybody have a good way to stow leaders? Mine always get knotted up, bent, or just a mess....poppin' corks, redfish leaders and rigs, eventually nice big ole' shark rigs. Was thinking about kinda winding them up, tying them together and throwing them in a tupperware box. But would like to know if y'all have any ingenius methods..thanks..

At Academy or bass pro they have what they call worm books. They vary in sizes. They have ziplock bags permanently installed. They work realy good.I've used them for for years and never had a problem. You can store leaders ,crimps, sleeves or whatever. It's all in one convenient pouch. They are fairly cheap.
i use the worm bag from academy works very well.

I love the zip lock for individual larger leaders, but for simple leaders (that I may go through alot of) like wire for kings or heavy mono for snapper I use a piece of a water noodle - those round foam kids toys.

I have used 2 methods that work great. I first started using the worm bags like Frenzy was talking about, and if you are lucky you can find them at WalMart for about $10. I just started using this $2 tupperware box I found at WalMart that was in the school supplies section. I coil my leaders up, put them in a ziplock, and then store them upright in this box. It works very well, holds about 20 leaders, and is very tough. I keep my zip ties and pliers in the same box so I can carry it right out to my bait and have everything on hand.
