Nailed some blues and a channel with a friend under comorant roosts today. The fish are really in there.

Hey Pope...do you catch 'em under commorant's roosts because of the droppin'sor what?I hate them things!They eat tons of fish a year and they're so nasty!!!:mad:

I would guess your assumption would be right. We were using chicken gizzards freelined, let them splat on the water like droppings and hang on.
Give it a try some time. It was fast and eciting action.

Yes NightTrain, that's exactly why we fish under the birds. In fact, what Ross says is correct. They frequently come to the sound of the SPLAT! Sure Shot punch bait was designed exactly for this type of fishing.

I have and it's a mess really. But great fun. We just don't have any cormorants around here that I know of or I would.

At night and real early in the morning. We approach slowly and try not to disturb the birds. You don't have to get under them. Just within casting distance.
Once the birds leave to feed in the morning, the bite tapers off.

Thanks,Brad,for that clarification....I had filed "feeshin' under water turkeys"in the "Extreme Cattin'"section,right next to noodlin'!!!
