Does not happen often for me but I went fishing on upper Buchanan (up river a ways). I thought (used loosely) that the fish might be trying to fatten up before winter. And it rained a lot Thurs. night so I figured they would be stirred up a bit.
When I got there I noticed the water was not moving much at all. I have no idea where all the rain went. maybe it was just soaked up into dry soil. I know it rained a couple inches at least but oh well.
We put out a total of 12 juglines and then fished with 4 R&R's from about 5-7:30 pm. I caught 1 #2 blue. Then my uncle says look at that jug way over there it keeps going under. So we go over and land a 31.2 # flattie.
After that we caught nothing until we were leaving and had 3 stripers and 1 8# blue on the juglines.
But for 4 hours of fishing we did pretty good.
AND my freaking digital camera would not work of course. I took a couple pics with an old camera in the dark. I will see if anything turns out and if so I'll post a pic.
