We're back from Hatteras.

Some whiting, blues and some spanish mackeral on plugs. Rested a lot. Mad Crabber closed up, rumor has it re-opening somewhere.

Went to the old crabber bldg thats called MACK DADDYS CRAB SHACK, its a fancy place now, could not get a combo seafood platter so we ordered a hamburger platter. both came out RAW in the middle so we got up and walked out. Ate out 2 nights and thats it for me. I cook from now on. nothing but rip-offs. More on that later.

Could not catch up with Don & El. Guess they were fishing both times we went by.

Time to unpack and check the garden.

BUT, GUESS WHAT!

Let me share the pure pleasure of getting a really, really, really big surprise birthday gift from my boys on my 75th Saturday.

Knowing how much I loved and craved it, and the fact that I had not tasted the REAL THING since my early twenties....Sven and Eric had fresh Maine Lobster, right off the airplane, delivered here.

Three big, sweet, tender and succulently fresh, claws still thrashing Maine Lobster, one apiece, was washed down the gullet in sweet melted butter and savored to the enth degree before the day was over.

I only wish I could package up the joy of it and share it with you.

It's good to have you home!
