I've been busy giving away stickers. Tomorrow, I'm mailing out a dozen of them to other catmen in an effort to get them interested in CPR(ing) catfish. The guy who may be responsible for "coining" the term, known as Katnip on a lot of catfishing message boards is getting a handfull of them to pass around to his friends.
A couple of the men I've sent stickers to have asked how they came to be. I told them one of the guys here came up with the design and we all contributed to polishing it up a bit. The original design was great. I think the finished product is a little bit better.
I wanted to thank everyone for contributing to getting the stickers made up...
I am also hoping this will help to grow this site a bit... we'll see..............

Did you invite them to join us?Katnip and Bottomline are the guys who fished the World Championships at Santee...very hardcore catmen that promote CPR!They would definately be excellent additions to the "lounge regulars"!
My cousin,Rick, who is the Brigade Commander with Greater Orlando Airport Fire Dept.,was up visiting this weekend.Had dinner with him last night.Invited him to join us here.He is originally from Oklahoma, but, now in Orlando. This guy is my "outdoor"hero!!He is subcontracted by the state of Fla.,to hunt nusciense gators(has taken 13'-700lbers.),has guided for ducks/geese,bow hunts for deer/javelina,fishes both salt(flats fishing for reds/trout,etc.)and fresh(St.Johns River)....He has some great stories and I look forward to him joining us!

I'll invite Katnip as soon as he gets his stickers... Joe from Oxford too.... and Bottomline... I invited "Big Cat" from TF last night... hoping he'll show up here. He's a nice young man who loves to fish for big catfish, AND he's a CPR proponent...

The problem with hunting reptiles with a bow is that they don't react like mammals to pain, bloodletting or any number of other factors..... You have to be very careful around an angry alligator too... that's why I'll stick to wrangling snakes, thanks.. I understand what makes them tick....

Hawk, I hate to say it. But, with the run of luck you've been having lately, I'd stay away from snakes. ;)
And cars. :D

Yeah,that would never happen again,now that you're older,slower,and crippled!

It was the impetuousness of my youth that lead to getting bit (twice LOL). It had nothing to do with being younger, faster and less crippled up... I would use a grab stick these days and a hook, instead of my hands... I used to pick rattlesnakes, cottonmouths and cobras (among other species) up bare-handed. I don't think I would allow a snake to get that close to me again, at least not one that can kill... Cottonmouths, copperheads and most rattlesnakes can't deliver a fatal bite... if you're healthy and not allergic to the venoms.... of course, you won't know if you're allergic (Like I was to Cobra venom) until after you get bit.... which is a FINE TIME to find out :-)
The snake might kill me, but I have the blessing of TIME on my side... it won't be immediate... The nuisance Alligators of which you speak are NOT afraid of men... and they can end your life immediately, if not sooner... that's why I would still pick the snake(s) over the alligator... it's all a matter of perspective I guess.... neither one pays well enough to make me want to do it full time (snake or alligator removal)...

I'm here fellas! I wonder how long it will be before someone calls me a smart-***???? LOL!
I'd like to see this forum grow to include mostly hard-core CPR catmen. There are many forums that you can cherry-pick good information from, but none that's the "Total Package". Maybe 2CoolFishing Catfish Lounge will be the "One"!
Tight lines and Hang-A-Hawg!
