The following is a post that Jim Scoutten made on another forum that I frequent. Thought I would help spread the message.
Our newest unit to be honored with Operation Thank You cards, letters, and packages... is making news in Iraq that hasn't been reported in the mainstream media.
The unit is the 60 member Pathfinder Company of the 5th of the 101st Airborne deployed to Operating Base Speicher near Tikrit.
Their high-risk mission is fast reaction insertion by Blackhawk helicopters when suspicious activity is spotted in hostile areas, day or night.
Read about the new airborne tactics that are proving highly effective in stopping the Terrorists while minimizing collateral damage to civilians loyal to the new Iraqi government.
And after you have read about the Pathfinders, send a note of thanks for their commitment to the mission.
The information on how to do that is posted at the website.
