Here's another one from the St Aug's board. We want to rule out sharpie because of the size- this would be a world record, no doubt. Whatcha think?

Almost certain it is a Finetooth.

What led you to believe that its a Finetooth?

Yeah, I would say finetooth too but could be a juvenille dusky....Not really sure since the head is turned. The gill slits are hard to see and I can't tell if there is a interdorsal ridge or not. Best bet is a finetooth cause Dusky's are an offshore species.....and dusky's don't have a snout that is pointed like that one.....I would bet finetooth

For Big Joe,

Finetooth are a dark gray to a blueish gray on the dorsal side of the body. The snout is pointed, the gill slits are long. The eyes are fairly large. The dorsal fin is either in front or even with the edge of the pectoral fins. The finetooth shark lacks an interdorsal ridge like a bull shark. The finetooth is often mistaken for juvenille dusky sharks which have an interdorsal ridge.
