View Full Version : conroe catfish
me and my wife went out last night 200 yards outside the no wake zone at inland marina. chummed the water and started catching immediatly. ended up with 20 keepers and a few throwbacks. she out fished me for sure this time but thats what I get for taking her fishing on our anniversary! beautiful , calm night and not a boat in sight!

nice fish and nice fishing partner. what did you use for chum and bait? I fish conroe quite often, never at night but would like to. where do you launch? I have been launching at the 1097 public launch but it has been closed and I launched once at 830 but did not like that too much, too much traffic. two weeks ago I took my wife and she caught more than I did.

Man you are doing something right to be able to fish on your anniversary night!!! Really what better way to spend the evening than with your wife and fishing, "LIFE IS GOOD"!
Cangratulations on both accounts

Congratulations! Never fished Conroe at night. Haven't fished Conroe in a while. Fished lake houston and been successful with the whites. Again Congrats

Hello Skurkp:
I have not been to Conroe in a while. Is that public ramp that is closed the one at Scotts Ridge, approx 1 mile west of the 1097 bridge?
Thanks, John

That soured corn works...i stole a bucket from him one time and man, after that, everything that it touched i thought about just throwing it away or burning, man does that stuff stink.
