Had the chance to put father and son, PaleRider (Brad) and son Dillon, on some nice Channel cat catching yesterday. We managed 37 nice size hard fighting kittties. Dillon said his cooler was the fullest and he would not tell anyone if part of the fish were his dads or not. Dillon is a very courteous boy and very patient fisherman, and he caught the biggest fish to boot.

First, lets get something straight. Dylan did not catch more fish than Dad!!

Now that we got that covered, I decided I wanted to take Dylan on one last father son foray before school got started and Weldon was kind enough to oblige us. We had a great time!! It actually didn't start getting to hot until about 10:30-11:am. And let me tell you, Weldon flat knows were the kitties are on Fayette County Lake. Everywhere, we went we found fish. And some were in places I would have never thought to look. Also, what he failed to mention, he went back and caught another 57 in 1/2 a day today!!

If you want to go a quick, fun, fishing trip and put some fillets in the freezer, give Weldon a call. It is only a 1-1/2 hour trip from Houston and you can be back in time for the ball game on a Saturday afternoon. Not to mention, Weldon is one of the nices guys you'll ever meet.

Thanks again for the invite Weldon. We had a GREAT time!!

I think Dylan needs a few more lessons mowing that lot of yours Palerider, and then ask him who caught the most!!

Looks like a good time!

Its ok to admit your son out fished you, its something to be proud of because who taught him his fishing skills - you of course.;) Good job getting him out there for some good ole quality time he will remember for a long time.

The best part about taking a 13 year old fishing...............

Not having to clean fish!! I think I've finally got him completely lined out on how to run a fillet knife. He actually cleaned the last 20 fish.
