My little 3 yr old boy is as HOOKED as a kid can get!! everyday hes got his pole and hes ready to go! He told me he didnt like perch anymore so i took him to the LUCKY SPOT POND yesterday after work. he caught about 20 perch on his little rod. Then i got him set up on my rod and he landed 5 cats! one was 2.5 lbs! He did great and was extremely excited. Everyone knew when he caught one b/c he was screamin! "DADA I GOT A BITE!!!!" Heres the a few pics! By far my favorite fishing trip of my life!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Treb21/jayfish4.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Treb21/jayfish5.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Treb21/jfish.jpg

If more parents took the time to do things like this with their children, their children would have a different outlook on life as they grow up.
That picture of him holding the cat with his big ol' smile makes my day... THANKS!

man thats great, it's good to know people are still introducing kids to good clean fun while making memories that will last a lifetime. I personally don't think there are any better activities than hunting and fishing for a father son combo.

Man that's great, I remember the first time my father took me. That was over 35 years ago. When we go now, he still tries to take catfish off my line so they don't fin me..We laugh ever time.. I rather fish with my kids than fish with anyone else.

Took him to academy and bought him a new rod and a little tackel box! It's a bigger rod, i think around 4'6'' (superman of course!) We went yesterday for a couple hours. i didnt even get to fish untill the end. he must have caught 40-50 perch! he wanted some perch bait (pink doughy stuff) and he was baiting his hook all by hiself! Finally had to talk him into some stink bait towards the end so we could take a couple small cats home! Once again had a blast!!
