I do not think it is going to be a cake walk for Perry. The independent vote will definitely help Perry, though. Not exactly like the Bush/Gore election, but maybe similar. Unless people choose to vote for the same independent, that is. :) I do not see the Dem. winning the TX. governor election.

Even though 'Grandma' won't be on the ballot, CKSR is the only candidate that has come out opposing illegal immigration & calling it illegal. I have read somewhere that Kinky is for open borders but when I checked his website, it shows nothing about his platform on anything. I want to hear alot more from either of the independents before I decide who will get my vote. I know where Perry stands (in front of the mirror or camera only) and Chris Bell is not a choice what-so-ever.

Here's my .02 cents. I'm a political junkie and active in local politics. Kinky is very protective of his platform. He won't reveal much because he is afraid of losing support. We do know that he wants to eliminate the death penalty. This is what will hurt him most.

Strayhorn is PO'd at Perry and that is why she is running as an Independent because she would not have survived a primary with Perry. She's trying to capture the "angry Republican" vote.

As for Perry, I am not that pleased with him, but he's better than Kinky or Grandma. He has the backing of the state GOP and tons of money to spend.

Bell, pleeeease!!!! Can't the Dems ever put anyone with a little charisma on the ballot? According to local Dem activist's, he is not motivating the faithful that much so the swing voters will not go his way.

Perry should win fairly easily. You have to vote for the lesser of two evils. I may not agree with everything Perry has to offer, but it is much more that any of the other ones

The difference between Kinky and Perry:
1) Kinky isn't as pretty as Perry
2) Kinky won't spend $millions of our money to call special sessions for nothing more than political gaiin.
3) Kinky is fun to watch and listen to
4) Kinky is satisfied that it is the Lt. Governor that holds the power in Texas. Refer to #2
