Boy was lucky it was a small shark. Muddy water, the shark was giving him a test bite .

just saw that story on channel 2 news. they showed the bite marks, looks superficial. i agree with you Sharkhunter, test bite.

It was muddy and happened around dusk apparently. The news report was pretty silly. They were calling it a shark attack and talking about how big the shark was. The kid and his dad were pretty cool about the whole thing. Just goes to show that we are not a part of their food chain. A couple of nips and YUK! Must have taken off in search of something a little fishier.

I agree just an exploratory bite but like Capt. Billy says anything over calf deep and you are part of the food chain sorry he got bit but its not that bad of a bite and he was lucky it wasnt some big ol bull shark looking for a big meal

Good to hear the kid is O.K.

The good thing, is the Biter let go (as is the majority of bites), of what he though he might of liked, if it were a Pit Bull or Dobbie,... that would hardly be the case.
