The whites are wild all around the island and deep water humps. I went this moring and caught a limit in 45 minuets. Lots of fish under birds at the south end of the island. Caught all of them on slab spoons either jigging or casting to schooling fish.

did all the fish come early or did you catch some later in the morning?

Are you finding whites with any size? All the ones we caught last weekend were in the 13" range with a few 15-16". We did happen to catch a 5lb catfish trying to put the last white bass in the boat to fulfill our limit. Nice suprise on light tackle.

The whites seem to be biting great up untill about 10:00am and then slowing down some but still hitting. Big fish are a little harder to come by but I have been catching about 1 good (15"+) to every 5 smaller ones. I went yesterday and caught a limit in less than an hour early. Spoke to Surf-n-Turf at the ramp and saw him go over to the island to fish under a big flock of birds that have been there every morning for about a week.
