real sad about this one. set out two lines from yak this am btw 7 & 8. went fishing for bait or what ever. nothing was happening but somthing was strange about 1pm went out to check.(had ballon on line to keep track of line plus keep off bottom). well the line had broke loose of sinker and something had been chewing on the bait. thousands things small fish, crabs, etc. went back to shore and took out of water and started packing up, leaving out other line till finale min.. time came to reel in my dixie cup conc. sinker and bait. when it reached the shore it looked strange. looked like two baits. walked down to edge of surf and darn it, it was a little fish. bent down to retrieve it and darn if it wasn't a baby hammerhead. she wasn't much bigger than the bait. some how she had gotten pricked by my circle hook and couldn,t get loose. poor girl wasn't big enough to pull line or anything and i guess she was hung up so long that it killed her. thinking of having a taxadimy immortalize her. yesterdays 5 ft. 6 in. brown shark was pobably a nurse shark like OZ and the others thought. tried to pull pic. a few min. ago but it seems like i better practice taking pics. . i thought i took a pic. but i dummied something up. thanks again HAPPY FISHING
