I looked it over pretty close and spoke with a friend who knows a little about the company. Looks like a pretty good gamble. They've got a few thousand of my money now (which is up 13% from where I bought it already :D ). Let's see how she does! ;)

boat money, you never know on these pink sheet stocks, most of the time they don't pan out, but this one looks promising. Thanks for the heads up.
Here is one that I have been watching for a year now. On the Amex. Down from a $1 to .25. Local company, Beltway 8 and Hammerly area, nice big office. Call and get their prospectus. Symbol ELU Also a very risky stock but you never know.

BoatMoney - Just let me know next time you pick a winner! ;) I believe Labwire is undervalued right now, and will likely follow a formidable upward trend. I just put in another limit order to buy another 15,000 shares.
Mr. Breeze - I don't like the looks of eLinear. There appears to be a lot of turmoil within the company right now.

Wells Fargo..19 bucks a trade. Open a investment account. I did years ago and put a small sum of money in to play with. Only down 46% but have learned alot about diversity and now on my way back up...I hope...

Mudrunner - Charles Schwab is fairly cheap for trades and has a decent website with good information to research potential investments. You can also go full service with them and have a broker place your trades if you choose, though it'll cost a few extra bucks. I get free trades through USAA right now, but in 2 months I'll have to begin paying $6.95/trade.

Price is down again today on LBWR. Bought me another 10k shares. ;) Come on $.25! :D

Shad, the CEO might have been the problem. Keep a eye on it. If your ever on the west side of town, stop by their office. I have not been there in a while. I need to go by and see how things are progressing. LBWR office is close to me also. Need to have a look at them also.

I'm watching them currently. I just almost pulled the trigger on a few thousand shares today when they were at $.21, seeing that they hit $.29 just last week. Unfortunately, my non-retirement funds are tied up in other stocks right now. I have a lot of retirement funds available, but the commission was going to be $400! They gouge you on stocks that are under $1. My non-retirement account receives free trades, so it doesn't matter. I put a bunch into Premier Brands (PBH) today when their stock dropped 16%.

make sure if you go with an online investment account like ameritrade, you check on inactive charges. they charge you if you're not going to make a trade each qtr.
shaddy, looks like its down again, but you've got the average buy price pretty good. the day traders jumped on it b4 the "illegal" promo. but i 'm betting they've all got it on their radar. one or two more good pr's and they'll jump back in. avg vol is still up tho.

Shadman is this ELinear the software and IT development firm in Houston? We did some work with them when I worked with Hines....they were small then, but didn't really have all that great of work. We/I had to do alot of tweaking to get it to work.

I also would not buy ELU until they hire a new CEO. IMO
Can you guys give me some information on trading companies such as etrade?
salth2o
07-08-2006, 05:58 PM
I have been using Scottrade for a couple of years and really like them. A flat $7 per trade, no inactive charges and only $500 needed to start up. They have several Houston area offices. Check them out at www.scottrade.com (http://www.scottrade.com)
Thanks salth2o, we use etrade at this time and are looking to change. etrade had a 9.99 trade price and a inactive fee which has become quite expensive for a small time trader, just getting starded like myself........

Shad, I see they are acquiring a new company and actually have some institutional owners now. Looks like the takeover CEO is moving it along. Average daily volume 60K shares, today 900K so far.

I'm still sitting on eLinear. They are down another penny now ( $.13 at last check), but released news this week of $100k in new business. I've got my sell order at $.24/share. ;)
I've got about $7500 in PBH (Prestige Brands), which has taken a nice 15% jump in the last two days after a positive earnings release. I have no idea how this stock could have ever been trading under $10/share. It is at $10/share right now, and I am betting on it being in the $13/share range by year-end. I think the 1-year target on it is around $13.50/share. PBH has been my "go to" investment over the last 6 months or so.

ELU is taking a giant crapola on itself. $.07/share right now! I guess I'm in it for the long haul. Hopefully they'll anounce that they just signed a multi-million dollar deal or something soon. :D
Hansen Natural (HANS) is way down the last few days (about 25%). I believe I'll try a few thousand with them also.
Mr. Breeze
08-07-2006, 07:23 PM
Shad, Today, Cramer said stay away from Hansen for whatever thats worth? What about Jones Soda? JDSA? Ever researched that one?
ELU - no one is speculating right now. Might be a month or so. All those type stocks are dead in the water right now.
Think Ill try some Chevron or something in that sector.
ShadMan
08-08-2006, 11:23 AM
Hansen's 1-year target is $55. Looks like I'll be holding them for a while.
As far as ELU goes, I wonder if anyone will buy it when it hits $.00? :D It ain't got far to go!
Mr. Breeze
08-09-2006, 07:50 PM
It all depends on staying listed on the AMEX for ELU. They are buying a company (Sweetwater) to get their bottom line up but won't figure in till end of year. Also giving them 25 mill. shares. Getting 3 mill. cash. August 31st is D-Day. Might be a dump?
Mr. Breeze
08-23-2006, 08:40 PM
Shad, latest news no good on ELU. Fired the new CEO. All leinholders are calling notes due. Spells bankruptcy to me? Need a magician to pull the rabbit out of the hat! lol

Shad, Cramer said see it as a blessing and get out! lol He says the momentum players are gone. Not a growth play either? Time will tell. He's back on Google to $500! The Fast Money guys will be on everday next week. 4PM central. I get a lot more out of that show. Lenny Dykstra is a big time trader, see if you can get some tips from him for us! lol

Go with Scottrade. By the way, this probably isn't even a real company. Pink sheet stocks don't have any listing requirements, they can basically do anything they want. Me or you could go and start trading a company publically on the pink sheets and this would be practically legal. Just a little heads up.
