Blanco River Smally

Well I finally got a hold of one of the big smallys that ive seen around my house this past year heres a pic of him. I caught him on Falcon Ultra Light Rod/ And a Shimano TX500 reel. The lure i was using at the time was Storm Grasshopper.

For smallys my best lures are anything that looks like crawfish.

Small ones at that. Roadrunner jigs are good also (with the little spinners).

Even an olive colored woolly booger on the fly.

Nice get! Smallies are good fighters but I don't like eating them very much.
