The white bass have slowed on the south end of the lake, I caught a few Saturday and a few bluecats. Today it really slowed, we left with a dozen catfish and only two white bass. Most of the folks I talked to had caught a few whites by the island early trolling, but later came out to the hump looking for fish. they were there but not biting.

What time of the day are you out? Usaully when it get's really hot the early and late bite is pretty good. Any birds working the schools around Pine Island? I may be there this weekend trying to find some of them whites and whiskers.

I went out today at 7:00am and caught a limit ofwhites at the hump. Went out two days ago late evening and the wife and me caught 37 in short time fishing scooling whites under birds on the south west shorline around Browders.

I caught those big blues around the hump and over by Browders. Use BIG pieces of cut bait.

I went out to the road bed Wednesday evening for a few hours before dark. Caught a few trolling and right at dark found them busting bait on top. Caught 19 as fast as we could cast.

Rough ride back to the dam, then the wind died as we loaded on the trailer at dark.

I plan on trying to take my niece this weekend if we can avoid the rain. I think I'l let her soak shad and try to catch some of those big cats.

Weekends are crowded, it's real nice mid week on the lake.

i generally fish around browders or by the dam. but you really want to do it in a boat. otherwise there is often alot of people on the bank.

This week the whites were all over the lake and scattered, by Thursday I found them back on the hump. That run to the road bed is too far for me, I stick on the south end and hit my spots untill I find them. The rod bed does produce alot of bass however, and I saw them schooling on top as i drove over the big bridge last week.
