Matagorda Bay fishing for tarpon is heating up! With the huge influx of mullet/mehaden schools, the fish are becoming easier to target.
Fished PO'C Sunday with no hook-ups, but saw about two dozen fish rolling, feeding or crashing the bait pods. Spent much of my time blind casting around the bait pods and working the schooling jackfish looking for a wayward tarpon. The tarpon were around the jacks, but only singles.
