Looking for the Best Money Market Rate

I have several K I need to park in MM accounts with a decent rate. I can get around 5% over the internet, but only around 1% in Beaumont. Anybody want to sweeten the offer? Federally insured of course.

You might want to check in the Houston Chronicle on Mondays I believe they give the best rates out there weekly. If you can get 5% over the internet that is great as far as locally you would be real lucky to get over 2%. If you dont need the money and just want to put it away and keep it liquid you might want to get a 3, 6, or 9 month cd.

It depends on your liquidity needs and how much you are looking to keep in cash and what your personal federal income tax rate is.
