tica rod

i while back i got a 10'6" tica rod in the mail broken. they sent me a new one and said i could keep the broke one. well the tip was broke off so i just put a new tip top. well after a few cast the top portion of the rod broke in half and flew out to sea. its a 2pc. rod so the bottom part is brand new. anyone know if its possible to order just the top part of the rod...or, is it possible to build a top piece?

im in the same situation and have called several places to try and get just the top half of the rods.... my top half flew off my tica somewhere from the beach to my house lol ... it was a 11' 6" i loved it.. for the 3 times i got to use it lol ... it would be possible to make a top half.. all u need is a rod that will fit in the main section pretty tight...then shave it down to where it will be just right.... i might end up doing that because all the places i have called have said u cant order just the top half... i will probablly end up making a top half.... just need to find a cheap rod that no one wants that is similar in color and material.

The is a site called www.rodbuilding.org (http://www.rodbuilding.org) and one of the sponsors sells broken blanks to practice on. The name is Neal Something, I cant remember. But I bought 5 broken blanks in about 4' sections for about $10. He might have something y'all could use.

The best suggestion I can make is to go to Cut Rate or any place that has a selection of blanks. Find a suitable blank that will slide on your bottom half and build it up.
