I would like to hear what yall think of this effort. To me it seems silly and is nothing more than a very simple gesture geared towards the feeble minded with nothing in return but incurring more deficit? Kinda like a credit card company calling a customer who has thier card max'd out and telling them they are raising thier limit to help them out of thier situation. $100 after taxes fills my truck up once, almost.

What a stupid joke.
It's past time to break up the oil companies.
It costs $84 to fill my pickup. I guess the other $16 will go for tax on the original $100. Yesterday, while putting $40 worth of gas in my pickup I thought of my first car. It was a well worn 1935 Chevrolet and cost $40, not enough for a Tank of gas today.
Even dumber than the proposed guest worker program.

Where I agree with you but you know as well as I do, it ain't gonna happen in our lifetime without a 'civil' war.
BTW, what is a ''CIVIL'' war? Doesn't civil mean being nice to your neighbors? LOL

The government allowed the big oil companies to merge, which cut down on competion, but refused to allow Blockbuster & Hollywood Video to merge. Where is the rational (sp) in those decissions ?

How do you use rational and government on the same page?

Using goverment and ethics, rational, intelligent in the same sentence is always an oxymoron. They are the oxes and we are the morons for electing them. Really hate to compare them to oxes because even oxes have some common sense.
