Spent the last three days on the water. Day one, no fish!! Ran from SLP all the way to High Island -- zero, dada, noth'n...

Day Two, went and concentrated where we had seen bait on day one and where the water looked the best. Finally found some fish at 1:30 p.m. - then we went one for four (if my memory serves me right).

Day three, went right back to the same spot. Found the fish within .10 of a mile from the day before. Went one for six.

Most fish caught on casting rods. Two strikes on trolled baits.

Good report. Gets my hopes back up for another trip maybe this week. My group tried going yesterday but it was a disappointing blow-out. The bays calmed down nicely by mid-afternoon so hopefully the gulf is going to flatten back out. Anyone going later this week?
