here's what I've been doing

pretty quiet here, so here goes.
I bought the divi on MO this month. bought at 72.10 I believe, a few hundred shares, and sold I think at 74.4 or something, plus the .80 divi- not to bad.
Also averaged down on some SIRI and bought at 4.50 and sold at4.76 I believe about 2-3 days later. made no money, still have some shares and still in the hole on that one, but lessened the amount of cash I have tied up in that one.
bought some TWX at 17, thats a good price, have no idea what its going to do but fairly sure I can unload it in the mid 17 range "soon" or sooner or later.
watching NOK still. bought some at 16.99, some at 17.3, have a few hundred shares and kinda scared to buy now, but the ex-divi date is soon and it will prob go up, might dabble a little more this week, and sell all after the ex-div when the price comes back up-if it goes down.
sold DD about a week ago. bought at 39.3, and at 40.8 I think, sold at43.2ish and got the small divi., but didn't have a whole lot.
still have a lot of DOW, have an order to sell about half at 44.3 but it just won't fill. it should go up this summer-won't go down much from here.
been doing a little speculating too. some on BRNC a small drilling in OKC that some people think will be in the 30's this year, we'll see.

well just left from above message and looked at SIRI. obviously I sold what I sold to low. I could unload all that I have left here and prob at least break even. or could hold to see if I goes higher (good news today), I'm gonna sell on the news. my guess I will go back down. we will see.

Dr. Fish, you missed the news coming out on SIRI passing 4 mill. subscribers I guess. Word is it will go to $7 when Stern quits selling a the millions of shares he got. Wish I had the guts to short stocks, I would short XMSR. It and SIRI will be the same price someday. Somewhere around 7-9 bucks would be my guess.

I still had 2.1K shares left that I sold after the 4mill subscriber news. haven't checked the market today and it is already closed. gonna buy back some siri at 4.50 :). have some xm that I'm in the whole on: some at 25 some at 24 some at 23 :(. dont know which will be better in the end siri or xm.

Dr. Fish, who knows, they might merge?, I like SIRI right now. Last time I heard Cramer, he said don't buy?, XM is done for now. IMO

Recently malcom berko, in his sunday column said he wasn't as optimistic about SIRI. at best he expected maybe 6.50 over the next 12 months.

been buying the **** out of DOW. good price and think today is the ex-divi date. divi isn't big but it, the stock, will go up and I'll still have the divi. bought a bunch in the 42 range and then some in the 41. need to unload some quit though as the percentage of dow in my account is now waaaay high.

money to be made right now is in basic materials and heavy equipment with foriegn exposure (brazil, russia,china,india)...

with out looking all those symbols up I have watched DE, GGB, and Cat recently. Cat split and is now waaay to pricey for me. DE was available for less than 70 this year, and I passed-buying to many other things. now I have toooooo much money tied up in DOW. till I goes up I won't buy much stuff. they announce earning like the 27th this month, they should be good, if oil goes down toward 60 by then I will unload some of this. My BRNC is doing well, have some in 24,23 22 dollar range. sold my NBR at 68 (too soon) expecting to buy back at 65- then this Iran/oil thing happened. Never did get any more NOK-price was just to scary for me. Did have 550 shares from 16's & 17's that I sold yesterday for 20.83 I believe-and will get the 2-3% dividend. bought some PFE about 2 wks ago and am temporarily in the hole about .50/share. same with TWX-only less in the hole in that one

Cat is trading at 18 times earnings , still well below the market average, while the appearance is a good long run, there is still room to move.

This is a 3 MONTH return chart of those ive posted....some have run a long way...but most still have room to move,the overseas appetite to heavy equipment and steel is huge. If you move it to the 1 yr return you will see TIE
has had a huge run.

I think over time DOW will come back and do well, they have a huge international market and are recognized as the leader in plastic and chemicals technology. I believe buying on weakness in a stock price in a "best of breed"
company is a good way to make money

I've held TIE for almost a year now and have already tripled my money. I think it will contine it upward movement for a few more years.

grandpa told me when you are at the top there is only one way to go. that is why I stay away now, I missed the run on these, will it continue-I don't know. I don't mind dabbling on pull backs, almost got some PD at 135-140 recently but hesitated.

well, i finally sold 1k of my DOW-got the divi and a little. I bought 3 lots in the 42's, three in the 41's, 1 in the 40's, and my lowest at 39.36. keep averaging down, ended up with waaay to much, but knew it would make money. and just got my divi recently- a little over 1k bucks.

i sold my xmsr at 23.57 for about break even more or less, glad its gone now-its 17-18.

sold my siri at 5.18 and said that I would buy it back at 4.50. well, today I placed an order to fill at 4.40 for 1k shares- don't think it has filled yet-we'll see.

I accumulated some BRNC at 24.3, 23.87, 23.10 and 22.87. placed an order today to sell at 28.65-didn't fill but I'll leave the order.

I bought some PDC just because brnc was doing so well-but it hasn't done much.

was about ready to buy F, but my order around 6.7 didn't fill.
may buy 1k of NT today for kicks.

xrx is at a good price but it will not be an 'exciting' buy if I pull the trigger, and no divi.
