I guess my personal best is easy. I was in Miami about 2 weeks ago fishing with Captain Dave Saddler. Caught this one about 9:00 PM in the vicinity of Haulover Causeway. It never jumped! About 30 MPH winds and seas 4-6 foot outside bridge. We mostly stayed inside.

About 55 Lbs....let it swim for another day's fight!
I would love to catch one in Texas. Do you guys really get a chance to hookup? We fish the Rockport/Aransas Pass area a lot. Are y'all talking about getting them at the Port A jetties?
I wonder what effect a greenlight would have on em?

Congrats, Aggieangler. Nice size.
I've had my best luck with no light at all. I used to fish Port O'Connor quite a bit, and when the weather would get right, my dad and I would go out in the Middle Ground area of Pass Cavallo and anchor up at night, with no light. One thing the light would do was draw in the sharks. Tight Lines, Chris
