I don't want to get into the 'rights & wrongs' of what goes on in the world as they do down in The Jungle. What I would like to know is how events when/if they happen will effect various sectors/stocks in the market. - I think just that aspect of World Events could start a lively and informative discussion (hopefully without the Jungle's acrimony).
Let me start us off with this question:
If Iraq slides into a civil war, what effect will this have on the stock market and U.S. & World economy?
I've seen pundits argue everything from market collapse (due to restricted oil supply & weak kneed Wall Street jitters) to an opportunity to invest in energy stocks. - What do you say?
