*70 isn't working

I'm on dial up so i've been dialing *70,281dadada, but i'm still getting kicked off by incoming calls. Does that trick only work with ME? I'm using XP Pro.

Nope, it works on your phone line, not on the computer. If you make a telephone call and dial *70 before it, it disables call waiting. Pick up your phone, dial *70, then call a friend. While you're talking to them, call your home phone from a cell phone and see if it beeps in. You should get a busy signal when you dial your home phone since call waiting is disabled. If not, give Ma Bell a call and let them know. If you don't have call waiting as an option on your line, don't use *70. Hope this helps!
