Great googly moogly we have officially lost our minds. Am I the only dim wit that sees this as a BAD idea. Sure they pass the screening now but who's to say some of the bad guys dont start trying to infiltrate this company? One thing these terrorists have proved to me is thier patience. Man this defies all logic to me. Anyone?

If this isn't proof positive that those that we have entrusted our country's safety to are idiots, I don't know what is. Note: I'm not assigning this statement to any particular political party or administration. I have long doubted the actual intelligence level of our so called leaders-long before the current administration.

In this case I agree with you. Wonder how much the payoff was to those approving this stupid action?

What it states is that P&O (based in London) sold it's subsidiary P&O Ports to DP World. What this means is that DP World will now oversee (manage)the operations at these ports. However, stevedore companies actually hire the people to work the vessels and all functions within the port. There is a huge turnover of managing companies in the shipping industry. One company is always buying out another company. And when that happens, 99% of the time the management with the old company is hired by the new company...the name changes but the management remains the same. Also, these ports are not private businesses. They are paid for with our tax dollars. Being in the shipping industry, there are alot more security measurements in place than most realize.

Maybe someone in the white house reads 2cool. lol Im very glad that a bi-partisan group has stepped up and raised the red flag. It makes me feel a little better that some law makers have decided to look at this a little more closely. Doesnt mean it wont happen but at least it has been halted so a deeper probe can be done. Maybe just maybe they will think about National Security instead of $$$ for once.
