Got a really late start leaving Houston at 10Am and just as we entered Sargent there was a wall of fog. Thankfully we had a GPS to guide us around as the visability was 100-200 feet many times during the day. To be honest this was only my second time in that bay system so we just kind of jumped around avoiding oyster reefs, trying not to get in anyone's drift or run aground. The second place we drifted gave us some fast action on LSU cocahoes and Assasin space guppies. 4 trout and 1 nice red then it slowed down. We picked up 2 more keeper trout, 2 dinks and a rat red. We only fished for 4 hours and put up the rods around 515 PM.
I am still trying to figure the mind boggling time line. We left at 10AM and started fishing at 100. That is not so bad considering the fog and the fact that this was our first time as a group to fish in my boat. But then we were running back to dock at 5 but did not roll back home until 10 PM!!!! I not sure what the heck happened but 8 hours of work for 4 hours of fishing is a long 12 hour day.
Will post some pic later.
