resizing a gif ??

Ok computer guru's here's a problem for ya. I have an animated gif I want to load as an animated avatar. But when I resize it I loose the animation. How do I resize it and keep the animation?

Take it to gifworks. The online tools make it much easier, and to me that's the best way.

I bet I have around a $1000.00 work of software easy, and sometimes the FREE stuff is just as good or better...LOL
